The Union Square area is the most popular in San Francisco and it is worth staying there for a few days. Check out our hotel recommendation in the area.
If you are looking for a place to stay in San Francisco, close to the hustle and bustle of the city, we have a good recommendation. We chose to stay at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square because of its great location. The Hilton Union Square is just one block from Union Square and close to the Powell Street subway station. The hotel's highlight is the privileged view of the city, as the property is on one of the highest points on the West Coast.

Where to stay in San Francisco – Hilton San Francisco Union Square:
The Room
As standard for the Hilton chain, the rooms are spacious, with elegant and classic decor. All rooms are equipped with coffee maker, flat screen HD TV, MP3 player, hairdryer, safe, air conditioning, free wi-fi and Peter Thomas Roth amenities. We stayed in a room with a balcony on the 34th floor, with a beautiful view of the city!
Breakfast and Restaurant
Breakfast is not included in the daily rate and the price is a little steep (USD 45,00 per person), but it is worth it for the variety and service. If you want to satisfy your hunger at the hotel and not pay that much, there are cheaper options. The first of these is a Herb n’ Kitchen located in the hotel lobby. It is excellent for fast food with several options of salads, juices, beer, breads, soups, etc. It is open from breakfast to dinner. Another option for dinner is the Urban Tavern Dinner and Bar, with a varied menu and a great wine list from the region. With so many options, after shopping, you won't have to worry about finding a place to eat.
We were very well taken care of at breakfast. José, a friendly Mexican waiter, who knows football, served us on the day of the game between Mexico and Germany in the World Cup. Imagine his happiness when the goal went to Mexico!
The bar
On the 46th floor, with 360 degree panoramic views of the city of San Francisco, is the Cityscape Lounge. The bar opens daily from 16:30 pm with a menu of signature cocktails, beers and whiskey. We arrived a little late so we couldn't get a seat by the window. If the day is clear, you can even see the Golden Gate Bridge. Here's a tip: try to arrive early to see the sunset or else you'll need to have a little patience to wait for that special place for photos to wander.
The Hilton Union Square is huge, with over 100 rooms and two towers. The lobby is always full of people coming and going or having a drink at the bar. Keep in mind that the hotel does not have personalized service and you may have to queue at times, but the Hilton's standard is always impeccable.

Receive a SIM card at your home in España and use unlimited Internet in San Francisco and across the USA
Are you also tired of only being able to use your cell phone at points that you find Wi-Fi free during the trip? And having to pay per day to be able to use a GPS in the rental car on the trip?
We couldn't take it anymore, especially because we wanted to post real-time photos of our trip on social media. In addition, Google is a great ally to find what we need while on vacation, such as information and places, and you can't just use it where you have Wi-Fi.
So we discovered one of the best solutions to end this problem, that you will no longer have to spend hours of travel in phone stores in the country, speaking an unknown language to get a SIM card. This is one of the tips we love to give our readers: America Chip.
Write it down: The company sends an international Chip to your home in Spain. When you're on the plane, just change your Brazilian SIM card for this international one. You will arrive in the United States with unlimited internet, using your cell phone at will, as you use in España.
Arriving in the United States, you can use it all day, anywhere in Europe. You'll save on GPS rentals, Skype credits, and you'll still be able to use social networks, Google, or search for anything on the internet all day. In addition, you can still call your home to send travel news as many times as you want via WhatsApp or Facetime.
