✈️Öludeniz and the amazing Blue Lagoon

Öludeniz is a small seaside town in the Fethiye district of Mugla province, Turkey.

I can say that it is the perfect place for those who want to enjoy the beach and peace, without too much nightlife – at most Karaoke or live music in the few bars and restaurants in town.

This photo is of the main shopping street in the city, where you can basically find shops, restaurants, ice cream parlors, tourist agencies and a lot of paragliders flying. So don't be surprised if one of them passes very close to your head while you're walking down the street or along the beach sidewalk.

After contemplating the true paradise from above during my paraglider flight, I had to land and check if the Blue Lagoon is so beautiful up close.

After the paraglider literally landed on the beach, I walked about 5 minutes to the entrance of the Oludeniz Nature Reserve.

As the park is responsible for protecting the area, it is necessary to pay a small fee of 6 YLT (R$7,00) to access the Blue Lagoon and be able to use all the services offered by the park.

Some nearby hotels have other entrances and often give “free” access to guests. But, in my opinion, it is worth paying every penny of the fee charged by the park, because inside there is a structure with a restaurant, bar, bathrooms and showers, in addition to the chairs and umbrellas paid separately (6 YLT each item).

Öludeniz has a typical Mediterranean climate and, in the summer months (July and August), temperatures reach 40º Celsius, so bring and use sunscreen.

I could really enjoy the calm, transparent and “warm” waters of the Blue Lagoon. Another very interesting thing was the family atmosphere, full of couples and children playing everywhere, all with great safety. I was told that cases of theft or robbery in this region are rare.

It's already on my list of places I want to go back!!
