Don't know where to stay in Bali? Choose the region that most resonates with you and make the most of all that the Island of the Gods has to offer.
Where to stay in Bali is one of the main dilemmas for those who want to travel to the Island of the Gods. The first thing to understand: tourism in Bali is based in the south of the island, and there are several regions for different profiles.
It is possible to change accommodation in a single trip and get to know the most different regions – it is an essential part of the itinerary for those who want to know the whole island – or also to base themselves on a region and get to know the rest of the island in daily tours.
However, if you decide to take a more drippy trip, to experience each region and its style, the good tip is to do it starting in the north of the region (Canggu), descending to the south (Uluwatu) and then crossing to the west side (Nusa Dua e Ubud).
Another option is to book only the first nights of accommodation and, over time, get to know the regions in your own time and style. Rest assured that if you don't want something sophisticated, it's easy to find accommodation at the last minute.
It is worth mentioning: the entire peninsula of Uluwatu, further south of Bali, worth exploring. This is where the most beautiful beaches in the region are located:
If you are looking for a new destination to travel with your family, if you are a couple on their honeymoon or just want a good place to stay, you must first of all get to know the regions of Bali, as each one has different features and profiles.

Discover where to stay in Bali:
Kuta: It is the busiest, most central, chaotic and traffic-filled city in Bali. It's nice to spend a day shopping. Accommodation is valid here in case of young people who want to party and party or someone who wants to stay in the middle of the different Bali beaches.
Seminyak and Canggu: It is the most 'hype' region of Bali. With good hotels and a more 'Americanized' structure, the neighborhoods are very funky, full of shops, busier, but they don't leave the sophisticated air aside. It is for those who seek where to stay in bali close to beaches (however, they have darker sand), but also to shopping, movement and the like.
Uluwatu: The locals say Kuta it's hell in Bali but Uluwatu its the Paradise. And it is, at least for surfers and people, who have a more beachy and peaceful vibe. There are the most beautiful beaches in the region, but with simpler or extremely sophisticated hotels. To those who want to stay in paradise completely, we recommend the Ungasan Clifftop Resort.
Jimbaran: Between Uluwatu e Kuta, fica Jimbaran. The beach there is not the prettiest, as it overlooks the airport. However, it is a well located region with easy access to all the places we are mentioning. Don't miss dinner at jimbaran beach one night, it's the best place to try fresh seafood, with live music, foot in the sand and candlelight.
ubud: It is the cultural and spiritual center of the island. It is inside Bali, surrounded by rice fields and several temples. It's worth staying there for a few days to see it. There, we recommend staying at the Four Seasons Sayan.
Nusa Dua: This is the most family-friendly region of Bali. On the other side of the peninsula of Uluwatu (half an hour's drive from there), it is Nusa Dua. It is a planned region and one of the most chic in Bali. It is a condominium of large resorts and chains, which are in front of beautiful and more exclusive beaches. In these resorts, there are several options for families with children, teenagers and the like. There, we recommend staying at the Sofitel Nusa Dua.
